About Me
“I like to find out how a room is meant to be used, then create an intentional and functional space that is also beautiful. I want to feel the personality of the home and its inhabitants. To be able to look around a room and tell a story about items you see feels really special to me.”
Meet Shannon Coman, Owner
Design and construction aren’t just what Shannon does — they’re in her DNA. Growing up in Oklahoma as the daughter of a home builder and an interior designer, she was surrounded by the worlds of building and design from the very beginning. Some of her earliest and most cherished memories are tagging along with her mom on design projects — which mostly meant gleefully climbing rolls of carpet and flipping through wallpaper books in search of anything with pink in it.
After graduating from Oklahoma State University, Shannon joined her father in the building business, and later, her husband David came on board as well. For over 25 years, new apartment construction has been their primary focus, alongside a steady stream of remodel and custom home projects. Through it all, Shannon wore many hats — and took time away to be home with their daughter, the inspiration behind the name KLC Construction & Design.
Through every season of life, one thing never wavered: her love for design. Shannon has been creating beautiful spaces for as long as she can remember, and launching KLC was the natural next step in turning that lifelong passion into something all her own.
Her approach is personal and intentional. Shannon believes every space should be a true reflection of the people who live and work in it — a place that feels like coming home. She loves blending old and new, incorporating pieces with history and meaning — whether that’s art from a local maker, a treasure picked up on a memorable trip, or a beloved heirloom passed down through generations. The result is always a space that tells a story that’s uniquely yours.
Shannon is also co-owner of JarCo Construction Solutions with her husband, who is a General Contractor. Together, they all are able to offer building and design services of all sizes, from ground up construction, to remodels of various degrees, to smaller design refreshes.
